Join us for a night of poetry and healing about Female Rage Sunday 30 March at cocktail, soul food & poetry bar Labyrinth.
We will listen to the stories, struggles, and quests of female artists, exploring the intersection of womanhood and different systems of oppression. A night curated and hosted by Andjela @itsandjelalekovic
Line up :
Zahira Mous @zahiramous (she/ they) is an artistic director, choreographer, writer, activist, performer, and therapist. She’s worked with girls and young women on healing from sexual violence through dance therapy.
Nthabiseng Shongwe @nthabisengspen ( she/her) is a poet, storyteller, and truth seeker whose work explores the intersections of history, identity and resistance.
Luka Prelas @fishy_in_the_percolator (she/her) is a Croatian bred, Zaandam based poet, budding spoken word and classical saxophonist on hiatus.
Parel Joy @pareljoy (she/they) is a writer, poet and translator. She is passionate about dyke legacies, queering translation, abortion rights and DIY publishing practices.
SAFA Mirror @safamirror (she/her) is a trans disciplinary artist and researcher, exploring identity, art and mysticism who used her lived experience as a trans non binary Iranian in the Netherlands to translate and perform the Sufi Persian Poetry of Rumi and Hafez
Elisa Brunelli @elisaandrea ( she/her) is an Italian writer who believes in sharing stories as a way of healing together.

First time visiting a Labyrinth Poetry Night? Here are practicalities/FAQ:
Arrive between 6:00-7:00PM to get best seats (not all directly face the stage) for you to enjoy our African/Caribbean dishes and unique handcrafted cocktails. Artists are supported through the ticket sales. Labyrinth Poetry night begins at 7:30PM till 09:30 PM including a break.
Drinks and food can be ordered throughout the night. Our kitchen closes around 21:00. The evening will be hosted in English.
