Tatenda Chimhanda, performing under the moniker ‘Ngara’ was born in Zimbabwe, raised in the Uk and is maturing here in the Netherlands. A child of many cultures; he writes of human interactions, love, guilt, shame and identity. As inspired by his cross cultural cascades.

Sanam Tahmasebi, aka Sanamika, is a versatile musician and artist from Tehran with expertise as a singer, composer, improviser, and lyricist. Sanam’s musical style is eclectic and draws on a range of genres, including Persian traditional music, jazz, experimental, and electronic music (www.sanamika.com).

Janne Groen is an expressive and passionate dance artist, who found her voice in movement. She communicates her personal story using influences of Contemporary, Popping, House and Hip Hop. Recently Janne’s been combining spoken word and dance, experimenting with how the two disciplines can support and complement each other.

Xina Mercken, a third culture kid, is a storyteller, spoken word performer, theatermaker and collage artist based in Amsterdam and Groningen. As a storyteller they are known for how they capture the listener. Through their empathy, sense of detail and rhythm Xina creates narratives that don’t leave the listener untouched.

Reservations can be made from 6 pm till 7 pm the latest. We recommend you arrive before 7pm so we can offer you a good service. Note that not all tables look out directly to the stage, so persons that come in early receive the best seats. The poetry night starts around 7:30 pm.
Drinks and food can be ordered throughout the evening,  our kitchen closes around 09:30 pm.

The evening will be hosted in English.
