After 2 years SOUL FOOD POETRY are heating things up again in the city of Amsterdam by having 2 shows in 2 months!
To celebrate they are starting off by bringing KNOCK KNOCK to Labyrinth!
Jo Anna, a regular host at Labyrinth’s Open Mic Monday and MP Yamfam a UK based, award winning, thought-provoking spoken word artist will guide you through the evening and share works of their own.
They will be joined by poetry from Robert Shepherd, Lutsa, and Jackie Ashkin.
Expect poetry leading a live band into a rhythm of their own interpretation, all impromptu!
If you want the opportunity to perform your poetry with a live band sign up to the open mic on the night, and as many sign ups as time allows will get a moment to perform!
If you’ve been to a KNOCK KNOCK before, you know the drill. For the newcomers, welcome to a whole new world of Poetry!
Tickets are 9,00 euro’s per person. Get your tickets here via Labyrinth/s reservation system. Throughout the night there will be soul food and drinks service available.
Practicalities/FAQ:
Entrance is between 6 and 7 pm, be on time so we can offer you a proper service, as we can’t serve everybody at the same time. The Knock Knock show starts at around 7:30 pm.
First reservations that come get the preferred reserved spots, as we have limited seats available. The ticket is 9.00 euro per person and revenue will be for the artists.
Drinks and food can be ordered through out, but the kitchen closes around 09:30 pm.
We don’t accept groups bigger than 6 persons for this night, because this night is meant to be attentive to the artists, and bigger groups are less attentive.
