Jazz & Poetry is a beautiful combination that brings out the best of two art forms together. Coming Sunday 17 November we have a specail Jazz & Poetry edtion with spoken word & musician Sharrif Simmons who came over from the States to perform in the Netherlands. He will let you experience his version of bringing these worlds of jazz & poetry together. He has invited several spoken word artists to join the stage. Feel welcome to explore this journey while enjoying exquisite cocktails made by mixologist Sam Kingue Ebelle and Afro/Caribbean soul food.at Labyrinth.
Start: 19:00 hours.
Entrance is free, however a donation for the artists is very much appreciated. If you like to eat some delicious soul food too, make sure you reserve a table. www.labyrinthamsterdam.nl
About LABYRINTH:
Labyrinth is initiated and hosted by Sam Kingue Ebelle. Born in Cameroon, having worked in some of the best bars worldwide, Sam is one of Amsterdam’s most gifted mixologists. This poet-turned-alchemist is responsible for cocktails that elevate the senses as well as the spirit. Inspired by the warmth of Mother Africa and the vibrancy of Afropolis, Labyrinth is located close to the green heart of Amsterrdam, next to the Vondelpark.
Labyrinth organises all kind of events, including Labyrinth Poetry Night ( every last saturday of the month)
and Open Mic Mondays ( every monday)
