Event Details

You are invited for an unique spoken word musical on Sunday 22 December at Labyrinth. Two Tales One Song is a spoken word music performance with poetry and lyrics by Frank Sheppard and music by Floris Nielen.
Stories of being in the worst of times, stories of being in the best of times. Stories of the past and of the present taking you on a journey from A to Z.
“Adam being civil deserted Eve for goodness”, “Acid brat comrades destroying everything”.
With two microphones and a guitar, the songs, the lyrics, prose and poetry create a novel.
Who are the performers? Frank Sheppard is an award winning performer in theatre, film and music, who often hosts #openmicmonday @Labyrinth. Floris Nielen is an experienced musician and producer.
The performance has a running time of 75 minutes.

During the performance you can enjoy top shelf cocktails mixed by Sam, with delicious soul food made by Jade, joyfully served to you by Jasmin and Gael.

You don’t pay entrance for this evening but a donation for the performers would be very much appreciated, so bring some cash!
Come over to Labyrinth and hear the stories and songs by Frank and Floris on Sunday 22 December.

When you like to eat too, make sure you make a reservation via www.LabyrinthAmsterdam.nl.

ABOUT LABYRINTH
Labyrinth is a home to the art of mixology — you’ll find it in the African-Caribbean soul food, the music, the cultivation of spoken word and poetry and most certainly in the cocktails.

Labyrinth is initiated and hosted by Sam Kingue Ebelle. Born in Cameroon, having worked in some of the best bars worldwide, Sam is one of Amsterdam’s most gifted mixologists. This poet-turned-alchemist is responsible for cocktails that elevate the senses as well as the spirit. Inspired by the warmth of Mother Africa and the vibrancy of Afropolis, together with his partner Lincie Kusters they organise many events at Labyrinth.
Besides Labyrinth Poetry Night, Labyrinth organises also
#openmicmonday‘s
Jazz & Poetry Sunday’s
and accoustic sets and poetry readings.
