Beyond Small Talk (formerly known as Skip The Small Talk) is turning one year old. This was supposed to be a one-time last-minute event to cap off a Kickstarter campaign. Now, twelve months later, we’ve held over twenty events in ten different cities across the globe. It is hard to believe how much it has grown.
This one’s going to be special. We’re using an entirely new batch of questions. And So Cards is launching TWO new decks, including a special edition for couples (or whatever the label-averse like to call themselves.) This will be the only place where you can get them before they go online.
So… Let’s play.

What if instead of wading into the ocean of deeper discussions, we just dive right into it?
Beyond Small Talk is that space where you are allowed to bring down your walls and just be you. It’s a break from the ego and agenda. It’s a place where you get to know people for the sake of getting to know them.
The rules are simple: no talk of work, school, the news, or the weather.
Instead of just looking for people with similar jobs and common interests, find others with whom you can resonate. Meet people outside your bubble from different countries and cultures. Share ideas and perspectives rather than business cards and LinkedIn profiles.

– Entrance is 5 euros
– Doors open at 7:30. Official start is at 8:30 – don’t be late!
– Don’t forget to invite whoever – friends, enemies, partners, exes, partner’s exes, exes’ partners, dates, purely carnal companions, strangers, the estranged, and so on.

ABOUT LABYRINTH
Labyrinth is a cocktail, food & poetry bar located close to the Vondelpark at Amstelveenseweg 53 in Amsterdam. It is graciously run by mixologist Sam Kingue Ebelle, who fulfilled his dream of combining delicious cocktails with poetry and art.
