Heal, Unite, Grow Poetry Night

We invite you to join us for an evening full of spoken word, music, storytelling, visual art, and an open mic. With all that is going on in the world, we invite you to raise your voices collectively. On Sunday, 11 October, we’ll come together at Labyrinth Amsterdam to explore the theme OUR COLONIAL HERITAGE.

Want to perform? Sign up with the host at 7:00 PM when you arrive. A few places are available on a first-come, first-served basis. You’ll have around 5 minutes to share your work.

About the curator  

@appah.nl, also known as Nana Akua Appah, is a multidisciplinary artist on a journey to learn more about Our Colonial Heritage. Through this work, she hopes to inspire reflection, conversation, and positive change. She welcomes you to an evening aiming to encourage, inspire, and empower.

Practicalities (if it’s your first time at Labyrinth):

• Arrive early if you’d like a table close to the stage, as some seats have a limited view. Food and drinks are available throughout the evening at your own expense, the kitchen closes around 9:30 PM.
• This event is made possible entirely by volunteers. Any profit helps us continue creating evenings like this.
• If a ticket isn’t affordable for you right now, please email nana.akua.appah@gmail.com for a solidarity ticket. No questions asked.
