Walk in My Words

Walk In My Words is back ……for a fourth edition! On Sunday 16 November at Labyrinth Amsterdam hosted and curated by Kevin _Ahn Kwang Soo_ Groen.

What happens when a poem is turned into a song, or a song recited without the music? What happens when you have to perform work that isn’t yours, or perhaps perform about life experiences you’ve never experienced yourself?

Walk In My Words attempts to break the walls between artists, and create new connections by having local artists perform each other’s work. In doing so, the artists will have to use their empathy, understanding, and imagination to interpret someone else their words, intentions, meaning, and bring it to life by performing it in a way that is fitting. But here’s the kicker, the local artists will only find out on the evening itself whose words they have been covering.

Get ready for a night where poems are turned into songs, songs into stories, and perhaps some poems or songs into dance interpretations…

When: Sunday 16 November Location: Labyrinth_Amsterdam Tickets: 12,50 euro p.p. Early bird tickets till 5 November 10,00 euro p.p. Ticket revenue goes to the artists.

Practicalities: Doors open at 18:00 pm till 19:00 pm so we are able to serve everybody before the poetry night starts, and all attention goes to the performances. Drinks and food can be ordered throughout the evening, but note that Labyrinth’s kitchen closes around 21:00 hrs. The evening will be hosted in English, but some artists might use other languages too.
