Walk in My Words Poetry Night.
On Wednesday 17 May we are excited to invite you for a special poetry night at Labyrinth: Walk in My Words, hosted and curated by spoken word artist Kevin Groen.
Many have heard the popular notion: before you judge someone, walk a mile in their shoes. While absolute full understanding is impossible, research has shown that perspective taking does lead to sustainable increase in empathy and understanding.

Walk In My Words attempts to break the walls between artists, and create new connections by having artists perform each other’s work. In doing so, the artists will have to use their empathy, understanding, and imagination to interpret someone else their words, intentions, meaning, and bring it to life by performing it in a way that is fitting.

Practicalities:
Tickets are 7.50 euro per person, and revenue goes to the artists. Doors are open from 18:00 till 19:00, and first come, will receive the best tables close to the stage, as not all tables look out to the stage. Ticket sales goes via labyrinth’s reservation system, get your ticket via our reservation system, and full=full. As we can’t serve everybody at once, please come in early so we can serve everybody before the poetry night starts, while you can have a chat with the artists.
Drinks and food can be ordered throughout the evening, but note that our kitchen closes around 09:30 pm. The evening will be hosted in English, but some artists might use other languages too.
