9 seconds to Rome is a duo formed by the Belgian singer songwriter Nele Dewaele and the Italian composer Walter Marantino. Their dreamy indie sound is influenced by different genres such as soul, jazz, hiphop and bossanova.. They will perform an acoustic live set on Sunday 23 October at Labyrinth. Listen to their performance, while enjoying cocktails and soul food.
Nele and Walter started at the end of 2019, after a couple of jam sessions they realized 9 seconds to Rome was born. 2020 gave them the opportunity to focus on creating their sound so by the next year they were more then ready to go out and perform. After releasing a few songs they decided to record their first official EP, inspired by winter. ‘I like to watch the rain with you’ .
