Mothers & other phenomenal women

In celebration of all mothers; almost mothers, just mothers, wanted to be mothers, long-time mothers, passed away mothers, step-mothers, mother-in-law, grand mothers, adoption mothers, distant mothers and other phenomenal women, we organise a specific edition of Poetry & Music on Sunday 8 May at Labyrinth in collaboration with Maaike Steenis.

Poet and performer Maaike van Steenis takes you on a personal journey of poems and stories by female writers. Chosen lyrics highlight women and womanhood in different ways, but always based on a feeling of strength and positivity. Musician Jan Flubacher guides this journey on double bass, guitar and percussion.

𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 & 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝗔𝗤s:
– You can reserve a seat directly via the reservation button on Labyrinth’s website.
– Limited seats are available so full=full
– The event will start at 7:30pm but for drinks and food orders and the nicest seats we recommend to arrive before 7pm, also to take into consideration that Labyrinth can’t serve everybody at once.
– The performances are mostly in English, with other languages appreciated.
– The event is donation based (all donations will go to the artists). bring your cash money to appreciate the artists.
